The world is full of material that gets passed off as ‘communication’, much of it unfriendly to the eye and an insult to the mind (the impersonal, jargony language often used in the corporate world is a fine example).

I think writing ought to be catered to the reader, regardless of the content: information being communicated can be light, direct, technical or complex – the crucial ingredient is that it’s neat and clear, with key messages driven home.
